London Gateway New Port Is International Shipping Services

London Gateway, Britain's fastest-growing container terminal, is now the UK port of call for two new major shipping services. These services will connect the economies of Western Europe with the Eastern Mediterranean, North Africa and Russia.

Sealand-North Maersk's Sea service, which connects Northern Europe's important economies with the Eastern Mediterranean, is now calling at London Gateway. This significant international shipping service, previously called on the Suffolk coast, now has a 42-day rotation ranging from Western Europe to Cyprus, Egypt, and Israel. Before returning to London Gateway, the service stops in Rotterdam, Bremerhaven, Wilhelmshaven, Hamburg, Antwerp, Limassol, Ashdod, Alexandria, Haifa, Mersin, and lastly, Port Said East.

As well as this, last month, London Gateway became the port of call in the UK for St Petersburg service from Unifeeder, who have increased their UK service in response to growing demand.

Unifeeder has added a new loop connecting the Benelux and Russian markets to the British market. Because of its proximity to the capital's consumer market, London Gateway is the favoured import hub. It is quickly becoming a significant gateway for Shortsea and Feeder goods to and from the UK. The new service offers fixed-day weekly connections on a rotation from London to Antwerp, St Petersburg, Bremerhaven, and then back to London, connecting to the full Unifeeder network with several transhipment options.

International shipping services from London Gateway have increased the capacity for trade connecting parts and technological advances increasing the capacity and delivering first-class services worldwide.
